Hello! I hope the New Year is going well for you so far

I'm enjoying the beauty of winter trees and wildlife - mainly through my studio windows - whilst completing a commission for the Horniman Museum, in South London. So I've been a bit quieter for a while but there's plenty coming up :

I'll be participating in "Efflorescence", an exhibition with Sussex Contemporary at BN9 Gallery, in Newhaven, 7th-28th February

My work is also in "Picking Up The Thread", an international touring exhibition, currently in Edinburgh. See here

Art Textile Weaving Workshop

7th March 2026, at Brighton Buddhist Centre, 10.30 - 4.30pm

Learn to weave on a simple wooden frame loom. Choose from a range of colourful yarns and enjoy the tactile and absorbing weaving experience. We will create a little woven piece - that could be a table mat or for the wall.

You will be guided to select colours and textures to design your own unique woven piece. Learn how to attach the warp to your frame and some simple weaving techniques.

Become absorbed in the calming weaving process.
No weaving experience required. If you have done some weaving before, you might wish to refresh your knowledge or try some different techniques.

All materials and instructions will be provided. Frames will be available to buy if you wish to take one home.

One-to-one and Bespoke lessons

Are you working on a project and don’t know what to do next?
Maybe you have an idea in mind and would like some help to get started. Or you are a beginner wishing to try weaving for the first time. I offer fun workshops, and tutorials, in-person or online. This can be one-to-one or you may join with a small group.

I also offer bespoke workshops online, at my home, or elsewhere for larger groups.

"Tree Hug", which was inspired by a hollow oak Tree at West Dean, West Sussex.

"Tree hug" is being exhibited at "Efflorescence" in the BN9 Studio, Newhaven, East Sussex, 7th until 28th February and features works by artists in many different media. Do check it out.

My work "Watery State" (bottom left) is on tour with The British Tapestry Group's "Picking Up The Thread" exhibition, seen here in Dumfries and currently at the Dovecot Studios in Edinburgh, until 14th February. The exhibition will be travelling to Devonport, in March and London in July. Details Here

The two pieces above and right are by fellow weaver, Lindsey Marshall, who sadly passed away in late 2025.
